A chance for pupils to meet and chat with science researchers in a 'speed-dating' format in informal locations and talk about life, the Universe and almost everything. As well as hearing about cutting-edge science from young PhD or post-docs, the event helps challenge the stereotype of what scientists look like and what they do - out of their Ivory towers and onto the lawn outside.
It is a real challenge for the researcher to talk about their research without the aid of powerpoint presentations, although we do allow props!
The event is often run in conjunction with Researchers in Residence at the BA Festival of Science, and has run annually since the Festival in Norwich in September 2006
