The kit contains sets of postcards of different life cycles (both plant and animal) and sets of life cycles that can be arranged in order on a poster. It also has sets of cards showing different pollens and hand lenses to observe any collected specimens or growing pollen tubes in more detail.
The best way to make this kit really hands-on is to witness an organism complete its life-cycle in vivo. TSN is not in a position to support this diectly but we would direct you to the Incubator & Brooder Sets available from Easton College: -
These are loaned out 3 times each year: 1. Feb half term to Easter, 2. Easter to May half term and 3. May half term to the summer break. The loan is over a five week period. The charge for this is £15-00.
The borrower is expected to source their own fertilized eggs and find homes for their chicks at the end. The incubator is slightly larger than an A4 paper ream box, the brooder is designed to sit inside a box of similar size
