We use your information to help us develop products and services that you need, and where we have a lawful basis and permission to contact you, we may use it to help us send you relevant and timely information about the help and support that we, or respected organisations that we work in partnership with, can offer. These services include, but are not limited to, TSN newsletters, e-mail updates, flyers for events/CPD.
TSN will take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
Completed membership forms and other documentation is held in hard-copy at the offices of the Teacher Scientist Network. When unattended these offices are locked and the keys stored securely.
Your electronic personal information is held on a password-protected server at the John Innes Centre. PC’s are also subject to password-protection.

We do not keep your information for longer than necessary. We keep financial information for seven years due to legal requirements, and we delete all other personal information from our databases system if we have had no contact with you for three years. Kit Club membership applications are often linked with invoices so will be held for seven years also.
If you have purchased a product or service from TSN or have opted-in to hear about TSN’s products and services, we will send you information which may be of interest to you. For existing members, active opt-in was sought in May 2018.
You have a right to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes at any time. You can contact us at any time to request that we do not contact you again.

We will not charge you for this service unless the request is ‘manifestly unfounded or excessive or repetitive’. TSN reserves the right to be able to confirm your identity before we provide you with this information.
We want to make sure that any personal information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. Please contact us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. We will also issue new membership application forms on an annual basis in an effort to keep this information up-to-date.
