TSN is keen to work with local and National media to publicise its activities and highlight the successes that partnership working can have and the need for science teachers to be able to interact with scientists to bring themselves up-to-date and boost their own subject knowledge.
TSN's coordinator, Dr Phil Smith, has become something of a 'regular' on Chrissie Jackson's Radio Norfolk show (weekdays, 10 till 1pm) and we are grateful to BBC Radio Norfolk for their support.
In 2010, the Triple Science Network published an article about TSN which included an example of partners working with a Triple Science group at Acle High School. We are grateful to the network for allowing us to publish the extracted article here. The original appeared in the Triple Science newsletter in Autumn 2010 edition.
We are also grateful to Planet-Science who published an article in July 2011 about the TSN Kit Club, during a series they ran about free science resources for teachers. One of our teacher members suggested we get in touch to shout about what we do! It was some years ago that TSN featured as part of their Real Science feature, so we did.
We can support any partnerships wishing to highlight their activities by helping prepare press releases and liaising with our media contacts. True and effective partnership working is still novel and makes a great story and helps further with challenging the stereotype - have you won a National Science and Engineering Week Award? Redeveloped the school garden? Talked about GM with sixth-formers? Help us reach the headlines by sharing your stories with us.
